Troop B Plans Alcohol Compliance Checks

(Norfolk, NE)- In an effort to help communities determine the extent of the problem of alcohol sales as a source of youth access to alcohol, the Nebraska State Patrol will be conducting compliance checks in Northeast Nebraska during the month of October.

The compliance checks will be conducted in conjunction with the North Central Community Cares Partnership (NCCP) Underage Drinking Coalition in Cherry and Boyd Counties and in conjunction with Project Extra Mile in rural Madison County.

The increased enforcement effort will be take place thanks in part to a nearly $8,400 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).

Local law enforcement conducts compliance checks to ensure that businesses are in compliance with state’s youth alcohol laws.
