Compliance Checks Planned in Troop C

(Grand Island, NE)- The Nebraska State Patrol, in conjunction with the York Police Department, the York and Polk County Sheriff’s Offices, and the Southeast Nebraska Coalition, will conduct compliance checks in both York and Polk Counties.

Compliance checks are planned through the month of August, thanks in part to a $1,900 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).

Compliance checks are conducted to help communities determine the extent of the problem of alcohol sales as a source of youth access to alcohol.  Local law enforcement conducts compliance checks to ensure that businesses are in compliance with the state’s youth alcohol laws.
