Investigation Leads to Arrest of
York Dentist

(Lincoln, NE) – A seven-month long investigation by the Rural Apprehension Program (RAP) Drug Task Force has led to the arrest of a York Dentist for illegally distributing pharmaceutically controlled substances.

At approximately 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2008, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol executed a search warrant on the office of 48-year-old, Dr. Mark Brouillette, 622 Burlington Avenue in York, Nebraska.  The investigation into Dr. Brouillette’s practices began when local law enforcement received information alleging the Dentist was providing illicit prescription pain medication to several individuals.  The investigation into the allegations continues.

Dr. Brouillette was arrested and lodged in the York County Jail on multiple counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

The Nebraska State Patrol was assisted in the investigation by the York County Sheriff’s Office, York Police Department, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the Drug Enforcement Administration and members of the RAP Drug Task Force.

More than 30 law enforcement agencies in southeast Nebraska contribute to the RAP Drug Task Force which uses its combined strength to work against drug dealers and users.   Law enforcement agencies from the following counties join the Nebraska State Patrol as part of the RAP Drug Task Force: Butler, Clay, Fillmore, Hamilton, Jefferson, Merrick, Nuckolls, Polk, Saunders, Seward, Thayer, Webster, and York.   RAP is funded by a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, administered by the Nebraska Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice.
