Cocaine worth a Half-A-Million Dollars
Seized during Traffic Stop

(Lincoln, NE) – A traffic stop for speeding near the Kearney, Nebraska Interchange on Interstate 80 led to the seizure of 47.5 lbs. of cocaine with an estimated street value of $500,000.00.
   Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2008, a Trooper with Troop C Headquarters- Grand Island stopped an eastbound silver 2008 Chevy Impala with California plates for speeding near mm 273, in Buffalo County.  During the stop the Trooper was given consent to search the vehicle.  The search led to the discovery of 47.5 lbs. of cocaine.  The drugs were located in luggage in the trunk of the vehicle. 
   The driver of the vehicle 38-year-old Dominick Digiorgio of Long Beach, New York and a passenger 35-year-old C.G. Digiorgio also of Long Beach, New York were lodged in the Buffalo County Jail each on a charge of Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver.
