81 Pounds of Marijuana Seized during Traffic Stop

(Lincoln, NE) – Two California women were lodged in the Lancaster County Jail each on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, after Troopers seized 81 lbs. of marijuana from their vehicle following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Lincoln.
   Shortly after midnight on Sunday, January 27, 2008, a Trooper stopped an eastbound Ford Expedition for speeding near the Airport Exit on Interstate 80 in Lancaster County.  The Trooper detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.   A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of six suit cases containing 81 lbs. of marijuana packaged in vacuum sealed bags.  The suitcases were in the cargo area of the vehicle.  The marijuana has an estimated street value of $ 300,000.00.
   The driver of the vehicle 27-year-old Jessica Raczkowski of Fort Bragg, California and a passenger in the vehicle 37-year-old Helen Alencastro of Cloverdale, California were lodged in the Lancaster County Jail each on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver.
